Joe Dallesandro Nude in "Flesh for Frankenstein"

I know this is retro, but I saw these films on “Netflix” and I just had to cap the gay legend himself Joe Dallesandro. He is just so ridiculously beautiful, it’s amazing. No wonder he’s such an icon. Plus, it doesn’t hurt that he’s naked sooo much in his early films.

WARNING: Some caps aren’t worksafe.

I saw this movie in the theaters when it came out in the 70's. I could be wrong but wasn't this in 3-D? I remember the theater selling REALLY GOOD polarized glasses and the reaciton of the crowd when all the bats flew around in the attic. People were ducking in thier seats and screaming and stuff. It was great! I don't think I've seen a movie in 3D done as wel since then…AND THEN THERE"S JOE! Always a beauty. Didn't Andy Warhol have something to do with these movies as well?

Yes, it was in 3-D! It was fantastic. I went to see it about 17 times. Paul Morrissey, the director, emerged from Andy Warhol's Factory so that is the tie-in. Andy's name was eminently more marketable, so the movies came out as "Andy Warhol's Flesh for Frankenstein" and "Andy Warhol's Blood for Dracula."

Well, Say what you will — Joe was just simply beautiful, sensuous. The boy had his own "non-acting" way to act, and Warhol used all of it. The first movie by Warhol was "Empire" which was a five hour shot of the Empire State Building. No movement except the changes in the shadows as the sun went across the sky. (I took lots of Popcorn) and as I recall — I left a bit early.
